Become a Festival Volunteer for Animation Dingle 2026!
Ireland’s premiere animation festival is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking volunteers to join the team. If you’re passionate about animation and want to be part of something unforgettable, this is your chance!

Successful volunteers will work as an integral part of our Festival Team and will be offered accommodation in Dingle for the duration of the volunteering period. This will mean sharing accommodation in a house with other Volunteers. All houses are equipped with a kitchen for your convenience, but please be aware that Volunteers are responsible for their own meals.

Applying is easy, but we do ask you to consider a few things before applying…
- You must be over 18 years old, have a genuine interest in our Festival
- You must be available to attend in Dingle from 18th to 22nd March 2026.
- You will also need to be available for online meetings, discussions, etc in the months leading into the Festival.
Some of your general duties:
- Pre- and Post-Festival set up and break down
- Assisting with Festival Registration
- Providing front of house customer support by greeting attendees and answering queries
- Ensuring Festival security and entry is adhered to with Wristband and Pass checks
- Supervising Festival venues and queues
- Ensuring your team members are fully supported by you
Other specific duties/areas of expertise include:
- Volunteer Manager
- Sound and Tech Management
- Social Media Support
- Operations Support
- Festival Director Runner

What are you waiting for?
Ideal qualities:
- Reliable and Punctual
- Go-getters with a “can-do” attitude
- Ability to cope with stress, fast pace, etc.
- Hardworking – you will be working long hours!
- Ability to think on your feet and maintain a level-head at all times
- Kind, polite and friendly with good hospitality skills
- Experience of volunteering, preferably at a Festival
- Interest in Film and Animation

Packed across three days, Animation Dingle is a busy festival. It’s a tight ship with a packed timetable, including early morning starts. Volunteers will be notified of their expected time slots ahead of the festival. By volunteering, you are agreeing to be punctual and reliable, arriving when scheduled and committed to doing the best you can.
