Animation Dingle is filled with students, pros, and absolute legends of the industry. And guess what? They’re here because they want to meet people like you! Chat to fellow attendees, introduce yourself at events, and don’t be afraid to strike up conversations. You never know who you’ll end up sitting beside (it could be the person who offers you your first job!).

There’s nothing worse than your phone or tablet dying right before you want to show off your portfolio or snap a pic with your animation hero. Pack a portable charger, close those unnecessary apps, and stay powered up!
🎤 4. Pitch Smart, Pitch Confident
If you’re chatting to a studio or stepping into The Big Pitcher, make sure you’re prepared! Know your work inside-out, show your best stuff first, and breathe. Festival days are busy, and you do not want to be the person running on empty halfway through an amazing panel. This year, workshops will not be pre-booked; they’re running on a first-come, first-served basis. If there’s a workshop you really want to attend, get there early! Same goes for screenings and panels. Animation Dingle events fill up fast, and trust us, you don’t want to be peering over someone’s shoulder trying to catch a glimpse of the screen.

Dingle is beautiful, but the weather? Unpredictable! One minute it’s blue skies, the next it’s horizontal rain. Pack layers, good waterproof coat, and comfortable shoes; you’ll be walking between venues, and while we do have a shuttle bus running, seating is very limited (the streets of Dingle weren’t exactly built for double-deckers!). Be kind, be mindful, and plan for a bit of walking!
🔑 9. Your Festival Band & Pass Are Your Golden Ticket!
To get into any event, you’ll need both your festival band and festival pass—one without the other won’t work! To collect yours, head to the reception desk and show your FareHarbor confirmation email. Once you’ve got them, keep them safe! No one wants to miss a screening because they left their pass in their other coat.
